About
Last Wave Brewing Company is a craft brewery with a taproom at 601 Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. Visitors can buy cans, crowlers and merchandise, and the brewery offers local delivery.
Last Wave describes its beer as tropical and approachable. Two of its tap lines are set aside for gluten-free beers and seltzers, which the brewery says are made on a separate gluten-free brew system, stored in their own kegs and poured through their own draft lines.
The site does not mention a kitchen. Instead, several local restaurants deliver food straight to the tasting room: guests scan the QR code on their table so the order reaches the right seat. The space includes a tasting room and a beer garden. Posted hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday closed.
For drinking at home, the brewery sells cans and bottles to go and takes crowler orders ahead for pickup or delivery, advising that crowlers should be finished within 24 to 48 hours. Sixtel kegs can also be bought for home use, with availability confirmed by contacting the brewery. Shirts, hats, jackets and glassware round out the merchandise, and questions can be texted to the brewery's number.
Private parties use the Green Room, an event space the brewery says is set up for flexibility. Hosts may bring their own food or have it catered by a restaurant of their choice, and may bring wine, seltzer or cider to serve alongside the Last Wave beers on tap.
