About
Ellie's Indian Curry Corner serves Punjabi dishes made from scratch at its upper-level Main Street location in Toms River. It is BYOB and offers reservations, pickup, delivery, private events and catering.
The menu moves from chaat such as Samosa Chaat, Aloo Tikki Chaat and Dahi Bhalla to tandoor items including Malai Soya Chaap, Tandoori Malai Broccoli, Chicken Malai Tikka and Lamb Seekh Kabab. Vegetarian entrées include Dal Makhani, Baingan Bharta and Punjabi Kadi Pakora, while meat and seafood dishes include Butter Chicken, Goat Korma, Shrimp Chettinad and Kerala Fish Curry, along with chicken, vegetable and goat dum biryani. Dishes containing gluten and vegan dishes are marked, and diners are asked to tell staff about allergies.
In Toms River, an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet of curries, tandoor items, rice, breads and dessert runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays, listed at $17.99 and $19.99 respectively. Both locations hold a happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, with appetizers at half price for dine-in or pickup, and a Wednesday-evening unlimited biryani night (dine-in only) listed at $20 per person.
The Toms River dining room is closed on Tuesdays. On other days it opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m., or 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tables can be reserved online or by phone. For birthdays, rehearsal dinners, team outings and similar gatherings, an inquiry form asks for the date, guest count and location, and the restaurant says it replies within 24 hours. Groups can order from the full menu or request a curated tasting menu adjusted for dietary needs and spice levels, and staff handle setup, service and cleanup.
